The
2023 British Grand Prix will set to take place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, England on August 6.
What to know about the British GP
Formed in 1977, the event was known as John Player British Grand Prix due to sponsorship reasons and it took place at its current home, Silverstone Circuit.
The race was moved to Donington Park in Leicestershire, England in 1987 before returning to Silverstone in 2010 and it is currently known as Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

The Dutch MotoGP or Motul TT Assen which was the eighth round of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship season took place on June 25.
The event was won by Francesco Bagnaia while his Ducati teammate Marco Bezzecchi finished second and Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia secured a third-place finish.
Standings
Bagnaia is still placed at the top of riders' standings followed by second-placed Jorge Martin of Ducati and Bezzecchi is placed third.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top - followed by KTM and Aprilia respectively with 12 races left.
Favourites
Having failed to secure a podium spot at this season's Dutch MotoGP, MotoGP world title hopeful Martin will be determined to win the British MotoGP.
Bezzecchi will be targeting his third win of the current season, while Bagnaia will be keen to retain the British MotoGP title which he won last year.

“We deserve this! We have been working hard and we need to continue to do so. Today’s podium allows us to go on holiday with a bit more peace of mind," Espargaro, who is placed eighth on riders' standings, said after the 2023 Dutch MotoGP.
"I started well but lost part of the front winglet straight away after contact with [Luca] Marini. In fact, the bike moved around a lot and it wasn’t easy to maintain the pace. When I caught up with Brad [Binder], I tried to put him under pressure because overtaking was not at all easy.
"I knew he would be struggling in the finale with the soft tyre and, in fact, he was sliding around a lot and he touched the green. I’d like to dedicate this podium to everyone who works with me and to my family. This is not a simple sport and being surrounded by a good group of people is truly important".
